JH-U-Turn is a new program this year designed to collect donations from students/faculty and staff of furniture, books, household goods, clothing, electronics – pretty much anything that is in working condition and sanitary.
All donated items will be sold at the JH-U-Turn sale on June 12th at the Recreation Center. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the Johns Hopkins Neighborhood Fund, part of our United Way campaign.
Donate Tomorrow!
Lowerclassmen - look for the large, cardboard boxes in your hallways and place donations there for pickup.
Upperclassmen - I, Carrie Bennett, will run a FREE move-out trash pick-up service. New this year, I will also pick up donations from off campus locations for JH-U-Turn. Instructions for both free services are at the bottom of this email.
I desperately need volunteers to help with donation pick-ups and dorm clean out for JH-U-Turn!!!
Several volunteering positions are available still. The jobs mainly require moving donated items to their appropriate locations. The time required spans anywhere from twenty minutes to the whole day—we need all the help we can get!
May 12th, 19th, 26th and June 2nd – I need 2 strong volunteers each day to help with the off campus donation pick-ups.
May 17th, 18th and 19th – I need many volunteers to help me pick donations up from the dorms.
Please either email me at liaison@jhu.edu to volunteer, or fill out the following survey with when you are available: https://www.surveymonkey.com/s/ZLQKHMZ
Thank You!
