Dear Students,

Hope your first month of classes went well.  To see how we've been working for you, we invite you to take a look at our senate minutes, committee minutes, news, and we also invite you to join our Facebook Group so that we can better communicate with you.

Freshmen Elections:

We had the highest turnout election ever, with 943 members of the Class of 2013 voting.  The newly elected Class President is Wyatt Larkin, with Senators Nicky DePaul, Archie Henry, Alexandra Larsen, Moses Song, Nick Trenton and Michael Wu.  We congratulate the new class officers, and they can be reached at classof2013@jhusga.com.  Full election results are available on our website.

 

Events.Jhu.Edu

The http://events.jhu.edu calendar system is a new and exciting way for student groups to advertise their events.  It’s also a great way for students to see upcoming events, allowing you to load the calendar into your Google calendar, integrate with your Facebook account, etc.  Be sure to follow the JHEvents calendar on Twitter and Facebook !  For more information please email Kiel McLaughin at kmclaughlin@jhu.edu

 

Student Group Website Domain Name Funding

Farmer’s Market

Freshmen Quad, 11 AM to 3 PM, October 19th

The SGA Class of 2010 is bringing back the 32nd St Farmers Market to JHU, and this time they are actually bringing produce and fruits (and even more)! The Market will again be held on the Freshman Quad. This time the vendors will be 3 produce (including Hydroponic Lettuces), fruits from an orchard, a beef, chicken, pork, & lamb stand, mushrooms, olive oil & olives, granola, French bakery (bread & pastries), bike-riding smoothies, soap & skincare products, potted plants, natural oils & incense, and hand-knitted items. Make sure to stop by, purchase some delicious and healthy food & products, and support local farmers!

 

Nolans Pub Night

Thursday, October 8th, 9PM to 12 AM, Nolans – Charles Commons

Enjoy live entertainment, win an iPod in our Buzztime trivia competition, and grab a low-cost beer right on campus (21+ to drink; venue open to all ages)

Fall Fest

Weekend of October 9th.

Join the SGA and the Interfraternity Council for food, a raffle, and much more prior to our Football home game against Ursinus!

 

Elizabeth Edwards MSE Event

Wednesday, October 21st at 8:00 PM, Shriver Hall.
